High Yield Marijuana Seeds

High yield seeds come from strains bred to stack heavy colas and fill a canopy fast. Each spec sheet lists indoor yield per square foot and outdoor yield per plant in realistic ranges. Pair strong genetics with good light and training to reach the top. Every 10 and 25 seed pack comes with a free BOGO pack in any strain you choose, and our germination guarantee covers each seed.

Quick answerHigh yield marijuana seeds have the genetic potential to produce well above average, often 1 to 1.5 ounces per square foot (305-460 g/m²) indoors under quality LED, or 1 to 2 pounds (454-907 g) per plant outdoors in full sun. Genetics set the ceiling. Light, root space, veg time and training decide how close you get.

What makes a strain high yielding?

Yield comes down to bud density, the number of bud sites and how well a plant turns light into flowers. High yield strains tend to branch strongly, keep short internode spacing and stack calyxes that keep adding weight late in flower.

Many trace back to productive families such as Skunk, Northern Lights and Big Bud, or to modern hybrids selected for heavy harvests. Be skeptical of yield claims anywhere, since many are based on expert growers in ideal rooms. Our yield calculator uses conservative ranges so you can plan with real numbers.

Realistic yield targets

Dry weight. 1 oz per sq ft is about 305 g per square meter, and 1 oz is about 28 g.

How to get the most from high yield seeds

  • Light the whole canopy. Yield tracks light. Aim for 800-1,000 µmol/m²/s of PPFD evenly across the canopy in flower, with no dim corners.
  • Build a flat canopy. Topping, LST and a SCROG net turn one main cola into 8 to 16 even tops.
  • Give roots room. Indoors, 5 to 7 gallon (19-26 L) pots suit most photoperiods. Outdoors, go 25 gallons (95 L) or larger.
  • Veg long enough. Flip when the canopy covers about 70 to 80 percent of the floor, since plants keep filling in during the stretch.
  • Protect heavy colas. Big buds need humidity near 40-50% and strong airflow late in flower to avoid bud rot.

High yield seeds FAQ

How much can a high yield strain produce indoors?

Under a quality LED, high yield photoperiod strains commonly produce about 1 to 1.5 ounces per square foot (305-460 g/m²) when well trained and evenly lit. A 4x4 ft tent at that rate yields about 16 to 24 ounces (454-680 g). Expect less on a first grow.

Do high yield strains sacrifice potency?

Not necessarily. Many productive strains also test high in THC, since yield and potency are separate traits and breeders often select for both. When quality slips, the usual causes are overcrowding, weak light on lower buds or harvesting before trichomes mature.

Are high yield autoflowers worth it?

Yes, if speed matters. A high yield autoflower can produce 2 to 4 ounces (57-113 g) per plant outdoors, or about 0.75 to 1 ounce per square foot indoors in good conditions, all in around 10 to 12 weeks. That makes several harvests a year possible.

What is the biggest factor in yield?

Light. Once genetics are chosen, the amount and evenness of light reaching the canopy has the largest effect. Root space, veg time, training and climate follow. Upgrading a weak light usually raises yield more than any nutrient or additive.

Do high yield strains need more nutrients?
They often use more, since they build more plant mass. Raise feeding gradually and watch leaf tips. Burned tips mean back off, while pale lower leaves in mid flower suggest the plant wants more. Measuring runoff EC helps you stay in range.
