Ripe blueberry, vanilla and a soft herbal haze. A sativa-dominant Blueberry x Haze cross from California, known for heavy harvests and a clear, upbeat feel.
In stock. Order before 1pm CT and it ships today.
Blue Dream traces back to Santa Cruz, California, where growers paired a Blueberry indica with a Haze sativa. It went on to become California’s best-known sativa-dominant hybrid, and many seed makers have bred and reworked it since, so you will find slightly different takes on the same classic.
Each parent brings something you can see and smell. Blueberry adds the sweet berry nose, sturdier side branches and a touch of body calm. Haze adds height, long flower spears and a bright, clear head. The mix leans sativa, roughly 60/40, but it is far easier to handle indoors than a pure Haze.
For growers, the draw is the harvest. Blue Dream is a vigorous, hungry plant that rewards a screen of green with long, heavy colas. Because these seeds are feminized, you can expect female plants and skip the work of finding and removing males.
Consumers often describe a gentle, mood-lifting start that settles into easy body comfort without much couch-lock. It is a common pick for afternoons and creative sessions.
A clear, cheerful headspace that many people say gets ideas and conversation flowing.
Focus stays loose and creative while the body begins to unwind.
The Blueberry side shows up as a calm, easygoing body feel rather than heavy sedation.
Reported THC up to 24%: newer consumers should start small and wait before taking more. Dry mouth and dry eyes are the most common complaints, and some people report racing thoughts at higher doses. General reports, not medical guidance.
Sweet blueberry and vanilla on top, an herbal, slightly piney haze underneath and a light peppery snap on the exhale. It reads more like fresh berries than skunk, but it still needs a carbon filter in late flower.
Rounds out the jammy berry base.
PinenePine, fresh herbsAdds the crisp, foresty lift behind the fruit.
CaryophyllenePepper, spiceGives the exhale a light, peppery edge.
Dry for 10-14 days at about 60°F and 60% humidity, then cure in jars for a few weeks to keep the berry and vanilla notes from fading.
Rated moderate. Blue Dream grows fast and forgives small mistakes, but its big post-flip stretch and appetite in bloom need a plan.
Blue Dream is a strong pick for a 4×4 ft tent. Indoors it usually finishes at 3 to 5 feet, but much of that height arrives after you switch to 12/12, when the Haze side can stretch 80 to 100 percent. Plan your veg time around that stretch rather than the plant’s size on flip day.
Under LED, run roughly 600-800 PPFD late in veg and 750-1,000 PPFD in flower. Top once in veg for more main tops, then flip earlier than you would for an indica, once the plant fills about half of your screen. For the first two to three weeks of flower, tuck the stretching branches under the SCROG net to keep the canopy flat.
This is a hungry plant in bloom. Step up phosphorus and potassium as flowers build, keep cal-mag in the mix under LED, and watch the leaf tips: slight tip burn means you have found its ceiling.
Expect 9 to 10 weeks of flowering. Start checking trichomes with a loupe around week eight. Mostly cloudy heads keep the effect bright and creative, while waiting for some amber pushes it toward a calmer finish.
A typical indoor run. Keep veg short, because Blue Dream can nearly double in height after the flip.
Moist paper towel, 75-80°F
Mild light, 65-70% RH
Top once, flip at half-screen
9-10 weeks, tuck the stretch
Slow dry, then jar cure
Blue Dream made its name in California sunshine, and it still loves a long, bright season. In full sun, plants commonly reach 5 to 8 feet and can produce 21 to 28 ounces each. Plant out after your last spring frost, once nights stay above about 50°F, and give the roots plenty of room in a large container or a well-amended bed.
Harvest usually lands in mid October. Its tolerance for cool nights helps in northern states, but the colas are big and dense, so a week of fall rain is the real danger. Thin the interior in late summer, shake off heavy dew on cold mornings, and be ready to harvest a few days early if a long wet spell is in the forecast. Our outdoor planting guide covers timing for each USDA zone.
Home cultivation rules differ from state to state, including plant counts and where plants may be grown. Confirm what applies at your address before you put seeds in the ground.
Its home turf: long, dry autumns ripen the big colas with little mold pressure.
Dry air suits dense buds and it handles cool nights; watch for early frost at elevation.
Cool nights are fine, but a mid-October finish can run into frost and rain up north.
Wet, humid autumns put dense colas at risk, so thin the canopy and plan a rain cover.
The season is plenty long, but constant humidity means steady airflow work.
Blue Dream is a sativa-dominant hybrid, usually described as about 60% sativa and 40% indica. It grows taller and stretchier than most indicas, and consumers often describe an upbeat start that settles into a relaxed body feel.
Our supplier reports THC of 17-24%. That is potent but not extreme by today's standards, and lab results vary with phenotype, growing conditions and harvest timing.
Indoors, plan on 9 to 10 weeks after switching to a 12/12 light schedule. Outdoors in the US, most plants are ready in mid October.
A well-run indoor setup can produce roughly 1.5 to 2 ounces per square foot. Outdoors, large plants in full sun can produce roughly 21 to 28 ounces each, depending on season length, soil and care.
It is rated moderate. The plant is vigorous and fairly forgiving, but you need to plan for its 80-100% stretch after the flip and its heavy appetite in bloom. A short veg and a SCROG net keep it under control.
Sweet blueberry and vanilla lead, backed by herbal and pine notes with a light peppery finish. Myrcene, pinene and caryophyllene are the terpenes most often reported.
It does best where autumn stays dry, such as inland California, the Southwest and the dry valleys of Colorado and Utah. It handles cool nights well, but in humid or rainy regions its dense colas need airflow and rain protection near the mid-October finish.
The stretch comes from its Haze parent. After the switch to 12/12, plants commonly grow 80-100% taller, so flip early and train the new growth under a screen to keep the canopy even.
