Indoor Marijuana Seeds

Indoor seeds are strains that perform in a controlled space, with manageable height, modest stretch after the flip and strong yields under LED lights. Grow year-round on your own schedule, with full control over light, temperature and humidity. Each spec sheet lists height and flowering time so you can plan your tent. Orders ship in plain packaging with tracking, free over $200, and every seed carries our germination guarantee.

Quick answerThe best indoor marijuana seeds are strains that finish under about 4 ft (1.2 m), stretch less than double after the switch to 12/12, and flower in 7 to 10 weeks. Feminized photoperiods give the most control and yield per square foot, while autoflowers suit small tents and quick harvests.

What makes a strain good for indoor growing?

Indoors, your limits are headroom, light and smell. Strains that fit those limits make the whole grow simpler.

Height and stretch. Plants keep growing for 2 to 3 weeks after you flip to 12/12, often adding 50 to 100 percent to their height. A 6 ft (1.8 m) tent loses about 2 ft (60 cm) to the pot and the light, so most strains need to finish under 4 ft.

Odor. Flowering cannabis smells strong. Run a carbon filter on your exhaust fan no matter what you grow, and treat low-odor strains as a bonus, not a fix.

An even canopy. Strains with many similar branches fill a SCROG net or respond well to LST, which raises yield per square foot.

Indoor environment targets

  • Light: about 300-600 µmol/m²/s of PPFD in veg and 700-1,000 in flower, on 18/6 for veg and 12/12 for bloom.
  • Temperature: 75-82°F (24-28°C) with lights on and 65-72°F (18-22°C) with lights off.
  • Humidity: 55-70% for seedlings and early veg, 45-55% in early flower and 40-50% for the last 3 weeks. A VPD chart fine-tunes these numbers.
  • Airflow: an exhaust fan that replaces the tent's air every 1 to 3 minutes, plus clip fans above and below the canopy.

Indoor seeds FAQ

How many plants can I grow in a 4x4 tent?

Most growers run 1 to 6 photoperiod plants or 4 to 9 autoflowers in a 4x4 ft (1.2 x 1.2 m) tent. Fewer plants need longer veg and more training to fill the space, while more plants finish faster with less training. Check your state's plant count limit before you plan.

What size light do I need for indoor growing?

A quality LED drawing about 25 to 35 watts per square foot covers most needs. That works out to roughly 400 to 500 watts of actual draw for a 4x4 tent. Ignore inflated equivalent wattage on cheap lights and compare actual draw and measured PPFD instead.

Are autoflowers or photoperiods better indoors?

Photoperiods usually yield more per square foot because you can veg and train them to fill the space. Autoflowers are faster and simpler, need no light schedule change, and suit small tents or growers who want a harvest every 10 to 12 weeks. Many indoor growers keep both.

How do I control smell when growing indoors?

Use an inline exhaust fan with a carbon filter sized to your tent, and keep the tent under slight negative pressure so air only leaves through the filter. Replace the carbon on the maker's schedule, often every 12 to 18 months, and keep the tent closed as much as possible in late flower.

What is the ideal temperature for indoor marijuana?

Keep lights-on temperatures around 75 to 82°F (24-28°C) and lights-off temperatures about 5 to 10°F (3-6°C) lower. In late flower, slightly cooler days near 72 to 78°F (22-26°C) help preserve aroma. Avoid sustained canopy temperatures above 85°F (29°C).
