Fruity sherbet cream on top, raw diesel underneath. A balanced Sherbet x Headbanger hybrid that opens bright and talkative and lands smooth.

Sherbanger brings together two very different personalities. Sherbet comes from the fruity, creamy dessert family that took over modern menus, prized for its sweet nose and colorful, frosty buds. Headbanger is a harder-edged hybrid of Biker Kush and Sour Diesel, built around raw fuel aroma and a fast, energizing head rush.
The cross did not water either side down. Open a jar and the sherbet sweetness reaches you first, then the diesel arrives a second later and sticks around. The effect follows the same pattern, starting quick and social before a smoother, calmer feeling fills in underneath.
In the garden it shows hybrid vigor from both parents: medium-tall plants, strong side branching and dense, chunky buds that often show violet streaks under a heavy coat of frost. Its genetics have also been used in newer crosses, including the dark, dramatic Black Maple. These feminized seeds are bred to grow female plants, so each seed is aimed at harvestable flower.
Commonly reported as a lively, talkative start that slowly evens out into smooth relaxation, with no sudden crash. Sessions usually run two to three hours.
An energetic euphoria that often sparks conversation and quick ideas.
The buzz levels off into a comfortable, happy calm without dulling focus.
Most people describe a relaxed, content finish rather than heavy sleepiness.
At 20-24% reported THC, start low and wait before taking more. Commonly reported downsides include dry mouth, dry eyes and, for some people at high doses, a racing or anxious feeling during the energetic opening. General reports, not medical guidance.
Sweet fruit sherbet and vanilla-like cream lead the nose, followed by sharp diesel and a peppery bite. The flavor finishes sweet with a gassy trail. The fuel side gets loud in late flower, so filter your exhaust.
Drives the bright, fruity top of the nose.
CaryophyllenePepper, fuelCarries the diesel, spicy side from the Headbanger parent.
HumuleneWood, herbsAdds a dry, earthy undertone beneath the cream.
Dry for 10-14 days at around 60°F and 60% humidity, then jar-cure for at least two weeks. A slow cure keeps the creamy top notes from being buried under the fuel.
Rated moderate. It grows fast and branches eagerly; the main jobs are spreading the canopy and keeping chunky buds dry in late flower.
Sherbanger is a confident grower. Indoors it usually finishes between 3 and 5 feet, and its many side branches respond well to training, which makes it a good match for a 4×4 ft tent. It is rated moderate mainly because its dense buds need careful humidity control in the final weeks.
Run about 600-750 PPFD in late veg and 800-950 PPFD in flower. Top once around the fifth node, then use low-stress training to pull the strong side branches outward into an even canopy. A round of lollipopping just before the flip removes the small lower sites that would only make larfy popcorn buds.
Some phenotypes show violet in the buds and sugar leaves. Dropping night temperatures by 8-10°F in the last two weeks can bring that color forward. Feed at a moderate strength; this hybrid shows burnt leaf tips quickly if you push nutrients too hard.
Expect a finish 8 to 9 weeks after the switch to 12/12. Check the trichomes rather than the calendar: mostly cloudy heads keep the upbeat, social side, while waiting for 10-15% amber brings the relaxed finish forward.
A typical indoor run. The vigorous branching fills a tent quickly, so veg can stay fairly short.

Outdoors, Sherbanger wants plenty of sun and a dry stretch from late September into mid October. Plants generally reach 5 to 7 feet and build a broad, bushy shape thanks to their strong branching. Plant out once your last frost has passed and nights stay above about 50°F.
The vigor it inherits from the Headbanger side makes it fairly sturdy, but its buds are dense, so humid late summers and fall rain raise the risk of mildew and rot. Open the center of the plant, keep neighbors well spaced and harvest a few days early if a long wet spell is on the way. For timing by region, see our guide to planting outdoors.
Home cultivation rules are set state by state, and some states still prohibit it. Check plant limits and requirements on our marijuana laws by state page before you start.
Sun and dry October air let the chunky buds ripen without mold.
An 8-9 week bloom usually beats the first frost if planted on time.
Hybrid vigor handles cool nights; harvest before the cold rains settle in.
Humid late summers invite mildew, so prune hard for airflow.
Heat is no problem, but sticky air and storms threaten dense buds.
Sherbanger is a balanced hybrid. Its Headbanger side brings an upbeat, energetic opening, while the Sherbet side adds a creamy, relaxed second half, so neither direction takes over completely.
Our supplier reports THC between 20% and 24%. That is solidly potent without sitting at the extreme end, which many people find easier to enjoy in the afternoon. Results vary with phenotype, grow conditions and harvest timing.
Most plants finish 8 to 9 weeks after the switch to 12/12 indoors. Outdoors, expect to harvest around mid October at most US latitudes.
A well-run indoor space can produce about 1.3 to 1.6 ounces per square foot. Outdoors, healthy plants in full sun can return roughly 16 to 19 ounces each.
It is rated moderate. The plant is vigorous and branches well, which forgives small mistakes, but its chunky buds still need good airflow and controlled humidity late in flower.
The top note is sweet, creamy fruit sherbet, and right behind it sits a sharp diesel and pepper funk. On the exhale the cream and fuel blend into a sweet, slightly gassy finish.
Outdoors it does best where mid-autumn stays sunny and dry, such as inland California, the Southwest and the Front Range. Humid regions can still grow it with careful pruning, a rain cover or an indoor setup.
Headbanger is a Biker Kush x Sour Diesel cross, and it gives Sherbanger its fuel-heavy nose, its energetic, chatty opening and much of its vigor in the garden. Sherbet contributes the creamy fruit flavor and the color in the buds.
