Privacy Policy

bestmarijuanaseeds.com (the “Site”) is operated by Best Marijuana Seeds (“we,” “us” or “our”). This Privacy Policy covers personal information we collect through the Site, our online store, customer support, and our email and text message programs.

The Site is intended only for adults 21 and older in the United States. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site.

Information you give us

• Order details: name, shipping and billing address, email address, phone number, the products you buy and any notes you add at checkout.
• Account details: if you create an account, your username, email address and password (stored in hashed form, never as plain text), plus saved addresses and order history.
• Payment details: entered into forms run by or connected to our payment processor. We receive limited information back, such as payment status, a transaction ID, card type and the last four digits.
• Age confirmation: your confirmation that you are 21 or older.
• Messages: anything you send us by email, live chat or contact form, including germination guarantee claims and the photos you attach.
• Reviews: if you post a product review, your display name, rating and review text.
• Marketing choices: your email address or mobile number if you sign up for our emails or texts, and a record of your consent.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, our servers and tools collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location based on IP address, pages viewed, links clicked, the website or search that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. Some of this is collected with cookies, described below.

Information from service providers

We receive information from companies that help us run the store, such as payment status and fraud screening results from our payment processor and delivery updates from the U.S. Postal Service.

• Process, ship and track orders, and send order and shipping notices.
• Create and manage your account.
• Add free BOGO packs to qualifying orders and apply any other promotions.
• Handle germination guarantee claims, returns and support requests.
• Confirm that visitors are 21 or older and that orders ship to US addresses.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security problems.
• Understand how people use the Site so we can fix problems and improve our content.
• Send marketing emails and text messages when you have agreed to receive them.
• Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

We use third-party payment processors to accept payments. The processors and payment options we offer may change over time, so we describe them here in general terms. Each processor collects and uses your payment information under its own privacy policy, including for fraud prevention and to meet its legal obligations.

Card payments are handled by processors that must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

We use Site Kit by Google, a WordPress plugin, to connect the Site to two Google services:

• Google Analytics 4 measures how visitors use the Site, such as which pages are viewed, how long visits last and which channels bring visitors in. It uses cookies and collects device and usage information, including IP address, which Google uses to estimate general location. We review these reports in aggregate to improve the Site.
• Google Search Console shows us how the Site appears in Google Search, such as search queries, clicks and indexing status. It reports aggregated search data and does not place cookies on your device when you visit the Site.

We have not linked Google Analytics to Google advertising products, and we do not use analytics data to build advertising audiences. Google processes this data under its own terms; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Cookies are small text files your browser stores. We use the following types.

Strictly necessary cookies

• Age verification cookie: remembers that you confirmed you are 21 or older, so the age check does not appear on every page. It records only that the check was completed.
• Cart and session cookies: WooCommerce uses cookies such as woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart and wp_woocommerce_session_ to keep items in your cart and connect your visit to your order.
• Live chat storage: if you start a chat, your browser keeps a random code in local storage so the conversation stays with you as you browse. It contains no personal information.
• Login and security cookies: WordPress sets cookies when you sign in to your account so you stay signed in and your session stays secure.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics 4 sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID. By default these can last up to 2 years. WooCommerce’s order attribution feature may also set cookies that start with sbjs_ to record how you reached the Site, such as from a search engine or an email link, so we can see which channels lead to orders.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, the age check, cart and checkout may not work. We respond to Global Privacy Control signals as described in the state privacy rights section below. Because there is no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the Site does not respond to them.

Email

If you join our email list, we send news of strain drops and restocks, grow tips and members-only promotions. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by emailing support@bestmarijuanaseeds.com. We will still send transactional emails about your orders and account.

Text messages (SMS)

We send marketing texts only if you give express written consent, for example by checking an unchecked box or texting a keyword to us. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for help.

We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing. We use email and SMS service providers to deliver messages, and they may record whether a message was delivered or opened and whether a link was clicked.

We share personal information only as described below.

• Service providers that work for us under contracts limiting how they use your data, including web hosting, payment processing, shipping carriers such as the U.S. Postal Service, email and SMS delivery, analytics (Google), fraud prevention, customer support and IT security.
• Legal requirements: when disclosure is required by law, subpoena, court order or other valid legal process, or is needed to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, our business or others.
• Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
• At your direction: when you ask us to share information.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising (also called targeted advertising). We have not done either in the past 12 months. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, then delete or de-identify it. The period depends on the type of data:

• Order and payment records: as long as needed to meet tax, accounting and other legal requirements.
• Account information: while your account is open. If you ask us to close it, we delete or de-identify account data, except order records we must keep.
• Support messages and guarantee claims: as long as needed to resolve the issue and handle follow-up questions.
• Live chat conversations: up to 12 months after the last message, then deleted automatically. This includes any name or email you add in the chat.
• Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your opt-out so we do not contact you again.
• Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps event-level data for the retention period set in our account, which cannot exceed 14 months for a standard property. Aggregated reports are not affected by that setting.
• Cookies: until they expire or you delete them.

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including HTTPS encryption across the Site, hashed account passwords, limited staff access to customer data, and payment processors that handle card details directly. No website or online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Please use a strong, unique password for your account and tell us right away if you think it has been compromised. If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.

The Site is only for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21, including children under 13. If we learn that someone under 21 has given us personal information, we will delete it and close any related account or cancel any open order. California, through the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and a growing list of other states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas and Virginia, have comprehensive privacy laws. Depending on where you live, and subject to exceptions in those laws, you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and get a copy in a portable format.
• Delete personal information we collected from you.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and profiling that produces significant effects. We do not do any of these, but you may still submit an opt-out request.
• Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for any purpose that would trigger this right.
• Equal treatment. We will not deny you goods, charge you a different price or give you a lower level of service because you used your privacy rights.

You may send a request no matter which state you live in. We respond as the law of your state requires, and we aim to honor reasonable requests even where no law requires it.

How to make a request

Email support@bestmarijuanaseeds.com with the subject line “Privacy Request,” or use our contact page. Tell us what you are asking for and which state you live in. To protect your data, we verify your identity by matching details you give us, such as your email address and a recent order number, with our records. You may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm your identity directly.

We respond within 45 days. When the law allows, we may extend that period once, and we will tell you why.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser.

Appeals

If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line “Privacy Appeal.” We will respond in writing within the time your state’s law requires. If you are not satisfied with the result, you may contact your state attorney general. California residents can learn more from the California Attorney General’s CCPA page.

The Site links to government records, legal sources and other websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies before sharing information with them.

We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or the law change. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, if we make material changes, give notice on the Site or by email as the law requires.
