Quick answerEvery seed that fails to sprout is replaced one for one, free, including free BOGO seeds. Germinate with our paper towel method, allow up to 10 days, and claim within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the seeds in the germination setup. Replacements ship free with our next dispatch.

The exact terms

Here is the guarantee in full: every seed that fails to sprout is replaced one for one, free, including free BOGO seeds. Germinate with our paper towel method, allow up to 10 days, and claim within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the seeds in the germination setup. Failed seeds do not need to be returned. Replacements ship free with the next dispatch. Coverage ends once a seedling is above the soil.

In plain terms:

  1. Use the paper towel method. Follow the paper towel steps in our germination guide. It lets you, and us, see exactly what each seed did.
  2. Give each seed up to 10 days. Most crack within a few days, but slow seeds are normal. A seed only counts as failed after the full 10 days.
  3. Claim within 30 days of delivery. The clock starts on the delivery date in your tracking. To fit the full 10 days inside that window, start germinating within about 20 days of delivery.
  4. Send your order number and a photo. The photo should show the seeds in your paper towel setup.
  5. Coverage ends above the soil. Once a seedling has broken the surface, the seed has done its job and the guarantee is complete.

How to claim a replacement

  1. Germinate soon after deliveryStart your paper towel setup within about 20 days of delivery, so the full 10-day window ends before the 30-day claim deadline.
  2. Photograph the seeds in the setupOpen the paper towel and take a clear photo of the seeds that didn't sprout, lying in the setup, in good light.
  3. Email supportSend your order number, the strain, how many seeds failed and the photo to support@bestmarijuanaseeds.com within 30 days of delivery. No need to mail the seeds back.
  4. Get your replacementsApproved seeds are replaced one for one and ship free with our next dispatch, in the same plain, unmarked packaging as every order.

Paper towel tips that keep you covered

Most failed sprouts come down to temperature, moisture or patience. These habits give every seed its best shot and line up with the steps in our full germination guide.

Keep it warm, not hot

Seeds crack fastest at 75 to 80°F (24 to 27°C). A cool kitchen can stall them for days. A seedling heat mat with a thermostat under the plate is cheap insurance.

Damp, never soaked

The towel should feel like a wrung-out sponge, with no water pooling on the plate. Standing water starves seeds of oxygen, one of the most common reasons they rot instead of sprout. Cover the plate with a second plate to hold moisture in.

Check, don’t disturb

Peek every 12 hours and re-dampen the towel if it’s drying out. Don’t poke or squeeze the seeds. Keep the setup in the dark, and keep it going for the full 10 days before calling any seed a failure.

Plant the taproot gently

Once the white taproot is about 1/4 to 3/4 inch (6 to 19 mm) long, plant it root-down about 1/2 inch (12 mm) deep. Use clean tweezers and don’t touch the root tip.

Take your photo before you clean up

If any seeds didn’t sprout, photograph them on the towel before you throw anything away. That photo is the heart of your claim.

Germination guarantee FAQ

Are free BOGO seeds covered?

Yes. Free seeds from a BOGO pack are covered exactly like the seeds you paid for. If any of them fail to sprout with our paper towel method within 10 days, claim within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace them one for one, free.

Why does the photo need to show the germination setup?

A photo of the seeds on the paper towel shows us the method you used and what each seed did. It also helps us spot fixable problems, like a towel that dried out or mold from too much water, so your next round goes better.

Can I germinate directly in soil?

You can, and many growers do, but those seeds aren't covered. The guarantee requires our paper towel method because it lets you see whether a seed cracked and sent out a taproot. If you want coverage, sprout them on a towel first, then plant.

I want to save seeds for next season. Are they covered?

Claims must be made within 30 days of delivery, so seeds germinated months later fall outside the guarantee. If you're buying for a later season, order closer to your start date. Seeds you do store should be kept cool, dark and dry, as our storage guide explains.

Do I have to send the failed seeds back?

No. Failed seeds don't need to be returned. Your order number and a clear photo of the seeds in your paper towel setup are all we need to review the claim. Keep the seeds until your replacement is confirmed in case we ask for a second photo.

When will my replacement seeds ship?

Approved replacements ship free with our next dispatch, in the same plain, unmarked packaging as a regular order. We review claims by email Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET, and a tracking number is emailed when your replacements ship.
